Marty Raney is a popular name on Discovery Channel’s popular show, Homestead Rescue. He is the lead on Homestead Rescue, which has been running on Discovery Channel for about eight years. The show’s popularity has pushed the producers to bring many spin-off shows like Homestead Rescue: Raney Ranch, Homestead Rescue: Tools of the Trade, Homestead Rescue: Building a Legacy, etc.

Marty Raney began his adventure in 1974 from Southeast Alaska. He built his first home on Prince of Wales Island, a floating logging camp. It was the same year he married his wife, Mollee Roestel. The couple are blessed with two children, Misty Rane and Melanee Raney. Marty Raney started guiding expedition business in 1998. As his business was off during the winter, he started thinking of other business possibilities and came up with homesteads. He named his company Alaska Stone and Log and started building homesteads. Just like the company’s name, it uses stones, logs and other materials to renovate the old homesteads.
We can say Marty really gained success in that business as he also involved his entire family in it. These days, his wife and children also help him with his work. Marty began the show Homestead Rescue in 2016, and it has already completed ten seasons by now. There has also been a talk about its 11th season. In the meantime, Marty also features on one of its spin-off shows, Homestead Rescue: Raney Ranch. Back in 2021, Marty Raney suffered a fall from a fallen tree. Marty first cut the tree and took it to his car.

However, he fell from the tree on his back when he climbed on it to cut its branches. He had to take a rest for quite some time resulting in more responsibilities to his family members. The incident took place on the season premiere of the second season of Homestead Rescue: Raney Ranch. Similarly, Marty’s family faced another incident in June of the same year. Marty’s cabin caught fire, and they lost everything they had owned. Luckily, no one was injured in that incident. Looking at Marty’s social media account, we can see him perfectly fine these days.
Recently, he worked at Homestead National Historical Park in Beatrice, Nebraska, USA. He thanked everyone through his Facebook account for making it successful. Marty has now returned to Alaska and is enjoying the mountains. We can see him enjoying Sockeye Salmon on the side of the river. However, there hasn’t been any update about the next season of his show.
